Fashion retailer Shein has filed for an initial public offering (IPO) in London. The company’s decision comes after facing difficulties with its plans to list in New York. Shein submitted its IPO application confidentially to the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority earlier this month. It also filed the necessary paperwork with the Chinese securities regulator due to its significant operations in China. The move to go public in London is seen as a compromise for the company founded in China.
